Following the end of the First World War, René Crevel was as a pioneer of the resurgent interest in the art of wallpaper. His mastery of drawing, and his knowledge of colour, combined with a solid understanding of the craft, gave him great creative freedom. His creations bear witness to a talent and innate understanding that served his ambition: to invent a new Lifestyle for a new generation of homemakers.
Throughout his career, he never ceased to renew himself, creating models and mock-ups for the greatest fabric and wallpaper manufacturers of the time: Charles-Henri Geffroy, Essef, Isidore Leroy, Nobilis, Cornille, Brunet-Meunié, etc
